July/beginning August 08....catch up!

So we arrived back to NZ in the midst of winter! We were greeted at the airport by the lovely Morrow clan after getting through immigration which was rather more stressful than the other occasions we have had to do it....but that is a whole other story....ask Dan about that one!

We actually found it lovely to be home although it was quite bizarre to have nothing to do and nowhere to be after the craziness of being in the UK!

July was a fairly busy month but it was great to be back in the thick of it! We had returned from England though, confident that it was right to be returning to the UK even though it was going to be so hard to leave!

We had another small group weekend away to Hanmer Springs, in fact to he same house! It was great to get away, Roshan did some cool teaching and we gereally had a great time chilling spending time with each other and thinking a bit about the year ahead! Not to mention chilling i nthe hot pools and sampling some fine mulled wine! Perfect for the winter experience.

The following weekend we headed away in the other direction. To Fairlie to spend the weekend away with Dan's collegue Darren and his wife and bub, Amanda and Jackson and a gang of their friends. It was their annual friends ski weekend and it was a real blast. We went to Roundhill, near Tekapo which was brill. They had an absolute heap of snow and the views were absolutely AWESOME! It was good to get back on the skis and for us both to progress a bit further! I confess to having to do the walk of shame......however it was due to problems with my bindings....really it was! It was great to meet some new people too and we all got on so well. It was such fun. Sunday, the hardcore skiers, Darren, Amanda and Dan headed off to Dobson and the rest of us went to Tekapo to wander up Mt John in the snow and then relax in the hot pools which I have to confess was bliss!! Shame to have to leave to go back to Chch.
