Rather than heading straight back to the sunny (he he!) climate of the UK we thought we'd stop off and visit some of our lovely now ex-Sheffield friends, The Robinsons in Anthem, just outside Phoenix, AZ.
It was my first time to the states and was rather excited at the same time as being thoroughly petrified of the immigration service!! Apart from one of our bags not even eaving Auckland, we did however have a comepletely uneventful passage! Thankfully!
We were welcomed and Pheonix Sky Harbour Airport, by 5 beaming faces, Gareth, Lizzy, Daisy Joy, Lucy Hope and Toby Wesley! The last time we saw them was as they left our house after staying with us for a month before heading over to the states 3 and a hlaf years ago! They girls were so grown up!!
It was just the most fantastic time, a real blessing in the midst of rather a chaotic time! We had such fun, catching up, chatting, drinking wine, eating yummy food, swimming and chillin chez the Breenies and playing with the kids! It was an absolute bast.
We also got to spend time with the other tommies in Phoenix, we met Beccy's husband Phil who is just lovely. We squeezed in an evening with Mike and Sally, a trip to Sedona, some amazing steak and a trip to the cheesecake factory, not to mention the outlets!!!!!
So Gareth Lizzy Daisy Lucy and Toby.....Thank you so much for an absolutely fantastic time, we can't tell you how much we enjoyed staying with you!
