Bring me sunshine...

I just realised how lucky we are. I finished work early and was on my way home at 4.45pm which is quite novel at the moment! It has been a glorious day today in Christchurch (not good for our planned ski trip tomorrow!) apparently it has been 21 degrees and not a cloud in the sky!
So I decided not to race home to bring the washing in, instead I cycled round Hagley Park. Hagley Park is in the centre of Christchurch and about 5 minutes walk from our house. It is gorgeous and pretty big (6kms if you run the perimeter of both North and South Hagley-they are split in two by a road) it is home to the Botanical Gardens, the river avon, runs through it, it has a golf course and Hagley Park south is the home to SPORT...netball, football, touch fields, a cricket ground...need I go on! And this is on our doorstep, I'm not sure I fully appreciate it. Its such a good escape from the city and yet you are still in the city! And at the moment the trees are laden in blossom and the daffodils are in full bloom (reminds me of Crayke Hill but without the hill!) it's beautiful!
Anyway my main reason or posting apart from my ramblings was to put up some photos, taken at 5.30pm, still sunny, still pretty warm too.....what's the weather like in the Northern Hemisphere guys??? Managed to take some funky arty shadow pictures. Yes it was still sunny enough for shadows! And then I brought the washing in...it is truly getting more summery if you can hang the washing out!
