I was wandering through merivale last night to meet a friend for a drink (our new house means it now only takes 5 minutes to get to the shops cafes bars etc, v good for my timekeeping!) and I passed a shop that had recently been re-rented! Well it was now open and pleasantly surprised to find it was called the beer emporium! So on the way home (after having a had a very nice Kiwi beer) I popped in to have a look! And it is a real treasure trove, Waggle Dance, London Pride, Peroni, Emmerdales branded beer(!!!), the list goes on and it was quite exciting to see all those familiar names and labels! Keo brought back memories of Cyprus!!! Any hoo I saw this on the shelf.....
Yep that is correct, direct from the Kelham Island Brewery Sheffield England!!! A real English Beer!! Made me want to turn round to the nearest person and say "I used to live just down the road from where this was made" whether anyone cared or not, besides the shop was empty and the owner was from Rochdale anyway so it didn't have the same wow factor!!! Dan was almost speechless (think I scored some points!!). Kiwi Beer is good but there is nothing like a English Pint!
