Whilst in Alexandra, apart from the epic off roading experience; 
(This is Claytons face after we had just driven (at speed) towards a ditch on the edge of a lake, having recovered skillfully and placed back on the road we found ourselves sliding into another ditch on the other side of the road (thankfully no lake on that side!) Funnily enough he was the only one smiling!)

Funnily enough he was the only one smiling!)we chanced upon a number of excellent vineyards. We had a fantastic afternoon driving through Bannockburn (just one of the wine growing areas in central Otago!) from one winery to another! Needless to say Bridget and I had to get food at the forth one! Anyway we learnt a lot, came home with a clancking car and not from the off roading but its extra cargo, and had a great time...I think!!
