Well Summer has arrived and it is HOT! Had a lovely couple of days, on wednesday Dan and I went out for a walk (and ice cream which I think defeated the point!) up into the Port Hills. It was so lovely to be out in the sun, we were really struck by the sound of the birds and insects and the amazing blossom and herby smells! It was so peaceful.
Yesterday we took the Reeders over to Akaroa, which was REALLY hot again! Lots of suncream being splashed about! They went on the Dolphin watch trip although A Jo and Holly fell asleep! We also met up with Andrew Andrea and Evan and ended up heading over to Okains Bay on the Banks Peninsula. We hadn't been before and it is absolutely gorgeous! We were still running around in the sand and sea at 7pm! Holly loved playing in the sea, and Sophie enjoyed eating the sand! Will post pictures soon!
