Hapuku Lodge

My wonderful wonderful husband whisked me away to one of our fav places in NZ for our anniversary! Kaikoura, just 2 hours up the coast from Christchurch! We camped in our fav campsite, which now has hot tubs and heated swimming pool (camping is so different here!), mooched in Kaikoura, watched some rugby, had dinner at Hislops (another fav) climbed Mt Fyffe again (well to the hut anyway). THEN came a luxurious night at Hapuku Lodge......staying in a treehouse!!! Something I had dreamt of doing but didn't really think I would! It was AWESOME! THe views were amazing, the moon, the stars, the sunset, chillin, relaxing, reading, pondering, reflecting, planning, sitting in bed eating peanut m&m's with the log burner going, a glass of wine and a movie........we just had the best time!
