Was going to say Gran's adventures down under but that somehow seems inappropriate! Well Gran has returned from her trip round the south island with some very good stories to tell! She has been back a week now (I am a little behind!) and we have been non stop since then! The weather was a little rubbish over the bank holiday weekend however we did manage to brave the Show! Gran saw her first woodsaw race....very gripping (no puns!) however we then spent most of the time after that in the food and wine tent! Partly due to the torrential rain but also the stall and samples were VERY tempting too! It was somewhat of a wash out and we were all very happy to return home for fush and chups!
Saturday was a Christchurch day and again a little bit soggy although we did manage to go the Riccarton House and Bush and the Art Gallery and Arts Centre Market (Gran now the proud owner of a pair of possum in soles!)

Sunday however we went to our fav spot Hanmer Springs Thermal Resort and it was great (as always!), sunny and fairly warm! AND very stupidly we all got sunburnt shoulders :-(
