Great catch ups

So in just over 3 weeks we have had the pleasure of catching up and spending time with 3 friends from back home! It was all quite bizarre being in a foreign country and only one of them having travelled out from England!
Well you've heard about about Swanny, we had a great time showing him the sights and catching up on all that is going on with him and home! Then we headed up to Kaiteriteri for a holiday, which is pretty close to Nelson and here comes friend number 2! We met up with Helena for a coffee in one of the nicest coffee places we visited in NZ! Helena is now a doctor in Nelson and has recently aced her emergency medicine exams in Australia! Well done Helena!
It was quite surreal meeting up in a random town in New Zealand and chatting as though we had all seen each other last week! It was really fun to natter and we only wished we could have stayed longer! Bummer we'll have to go up North again!?!
Then back to Christchurch for our final friend! Dawn was in da hood, well in our hood actually! Dawn Strachan all the way from Hong Kong, she has a really good friend studying in Christchurch and had popped over to catch up with Felicity, Helena and us! And it was great! We hadn't seen either Dawnie or Helena since Easter 2004 but it really didn't feel like that. We ate great food (and lots of it-emma managed 3 meals out in less than 24 hours!?), chatted, drank great wine, visited Neil and Nat (and ate more food!) and gained a whole new friend, Felicity, before Dawnie headed out on her 6 hour road trip to see Helena!
Well now we are back to work, and the weather is getting chillier, skiing is not far off we hope! Central Otago has had heaps of snow in the last week! Still it is supposed to be Spring.........
