We've just returned from a wonderful weekend visiting Jen and Fran. Methven is about an hour and a half away at the base of Mount Hutt and in the winter is THE place to be. In summer it is rather more quiet, but absolutely beautiful. We realised that we were SO ready to get out of town, we'd forgotten that there is a whole island out there! It is a beautiful drive and at the moment it is really amazing, the trees are turning brown and orange and the skies are crisp and blue!
It was great to see Jen and Fran and catch up. We had tea, cake, lunch, toasted marshmallows on the wood
burning stove, went to watch Fran Sky-dive, walked in the bush, found waterfalls 
and went to the Lake Coleridge fete and power station open day! It was really great fun and filled with fab things! Here are some of the photos!
