The Whales

When in Kaikoura you should go Whale Watching! IT is one of the big highlights! So we booked on as good tourists should do! We were all a little nervous about the old sea sickness (it is renound for being a very bumpy ride!) however after downing and wearing various rememdies we hopped onto our boat. And it was pretty bumpy, but quite exhilarating!

I think I held my expectations fairly low and the tour guy helped with that which may be planned but as he said, you can't predict where they'll be! However the whole thing totally blew my expectations! By a LONG way! After expectint to maybe see one whale we ended up seeing about 9! Awesome.....totally amazing animals. Just amazing.
