The past few weeks really have been quite busy and all I can say about work is that it is full on and I think rather more stressful for both us than we have experienced before. Needless to say I haven't seen Dan before 9.30pm this week and I am not expecting for the rest of the week! So it will be wonderful to have the weekend away from Christchurch without work to think about....we are praying that we will have the stress will not follow us to Auckland and that the work we will (unfortunately) need to do while we are away will be minimal and stress free! But seeing some of the Breenies, Paul Laura and Gracie will be simply wonderful and we can tell you we can't wait! I haven't seen Beccy for nearly two years so I am very much looking forward to muchos coffee long chats and looking forward to celebrating her recent engagement!
Anyhoo last week I had the pleasure of celebrating with our friends the Moorby's as Even turned one and Andrew turned....well actually he didn't let that one slip actually!!? But I turned up a little late as I had stopped by the office to see Dan (oh yes and had walked all the way from our house to Dan's office reading Harry Potter.....I was hooked and totally gripped, rather embarrassed to hear a man say "still haven't finished it yet" to turn round and see that I had just passed the man I had sat next to on the bus in the morning!!! NZ is quite small!!) Anyway back on with the story! I was really pleased to see that Evan was still wide awake and partying when I arrived, as were some of his other 1 year old friends! He enjoyed reading the Mr Men books we gave him by reading one, then the next then the next, and then starting all over again! How cute! He likes to read!!! So here is Evan....so gorgeous! and Mummy too, yes gorgeous too!
This weekend though we finally managed to go out skiing! Wohoo!! We had both bought boots in the pre season sales this year and so we have been itching to try them out! It was awesome! Unfortunately the season has not been great so far as there has been little snow and last week we had 3 days of mild (18 degrees) nor wester weather with didn't help! But as we are beginners we don't really need that much snow and so we were fine! After all it's all about us! They are at the moment relying in some places on snow making, but thankfully sunday night there was 10 cms at Porters where we went and 25 at Hutt! Wohoo!
So anyway it was just awesome and we remembered how much we enjoyed it last year and we really want to get stuck into it this year and next! We will be out as much as we can from now on! We are glad to have bought boots and it means we have our own comfort! Unfortualtely for me I found out when I went to put my boots in the bindings that the shop had sold me two different sized boots! Doh did I feel embarrassed but to be honest I hadn't really looked since getting them home and it was only after an hour that I really noticed how small one of the was! But I have it sorted now! I called the shop and then said they had been waiting for me to call!!! They had had a member of staff who funnily enough doesn't work there any more who had caused a couple of incidents like this! The other person left with two left feet!!!! The shop were just so grateful that I hadn't broken my leg! So that was quite funny! As I say all sorted now though and the right ones feel so much better!!!! Can't imagine why!

So this was the sunset on the way home...pretty beautiful!!!
Oh yes and this is Helen sitting in the cool egg chairs we both found in McKenzie Willis after we had been out for brekkie a couple of weeks ago....she and I were just wishing we had brought Harry Potter with us, we could have curled up and stayed there all afternoon! I'm not sure about the look of them but they are SO comfy!
